  • Jim and Carri ellison

    Jim and Carri were married in 1983 and have lived in Torrington for over 30 years. Jim retired from a career as an electrical Technician with Platte Pipe Line and Carri is a school nurse for PCSD#2 in Guernsey. They have two grown children and five grandsons. Jim oversees the SONrise Security team. Together Jim and Carri rock out on the bass and drums for worship team, lead a life group, and are active in Collision Jr. and SONkidz.

  • Curtis and Courtney birkley

    Curtis and his wife, Courtney, have been married since 2006 and are both Torrington natives. Curtis is a realtor at Windmill Realty.  Courtney, with her sister, co-owns the the local flower shop. With their three wonderful kids they faithfully serve at SONrise on the Worship, Tech Team, and Women's Ministry. 

  • Dewey Clapp

    Dewey was born and raised in Goshen County. He worked in the school district for 42 years as a science teacher and facilitator. He has 4 adult children and 4 grandchildren. Dewey has been involved with SONrise from the beginning as part of the church plant.  He leads a men's life group, works with the Yoder youth group, plays bass on the worship team, and generally helps out wherever there's a need.  In his free time Dewey enjoys woodshop and arguing with his little dog. 

  • Gene and Kelli Roberts

    Gene and Kelli are often found greeting and welcoming folks in with a handshake and a hug on Sunday Mornings. They have three children and six grandchildren. Gene and Kelly ranch by Jay Em and that pretty well keeps them busy.  But not too busy to lead a Life Group, serve on the security team, and faithfully teach for SONsmallz

  • Anthony and Lacey Valentine

    Anthony and Lacey have been married since 2007.  Anthony works for Eighty Eight Oil in Fort Laramie as the Terminal Manager, and Lacey is a teacher's aide at VCS. They have three amazing boys. As a family they serve on the Set-up and Communion Teams and  lead a Life Group. The Valentines love hunting and fishing, anything in the great outdoors.

  • Jarrod and Koreen Rapp

    Jarrod and Koreen Rapp have been married since 2001. They have three children. They work on the Flag Ranch and Koreen is a Registered Nurse part-time at Goshen Health Care. They moved to their place north of Torrington in 2017 and have attended SONrise ever since. They serve on the Coffee Team and host a Life Group for the folks north of town.
